He flinches at the touch instinctively, muttering an apology with a shrug. Sarcastically he mutters sheepishly:
“You know, the whole shaken baby syndrome. Not because of you.”
Emphasizing the last bit he kept direct eye contact. The last thing he wanted to do was offend one of the only people in this entire school that seemed to understood him. Agian listens to the girl’s story as the bile threatens to return. Both their ‘families’ were despicable. Guess she was right. Blood didn’t matter truthfully when you were a monster.
“We won’t be like them, let’s vow here and now.” He sticks his hand out, face screwed up in determination. He gives hers a gentle shake. “We’re better than they will ever be.”
Agian stands, chest heaving out in pride as she compliments him. He didn’t get many of those, and rouse fell across his freckled cheeks. The boy smiles at her witty response.

‘“Why thank you. I needed something to set me apart, to make me special. So I was determined. I turn into a ferret. Well, more specifically my old pet. For some reason, I have a way with animals. They always seem to find me.” With a wink, Agian nudges the girls shoulder.”Remind me to show you sometime. As for Astronomy class; yes I do. This will be my first time going. I’m a bit nervous. Should we head out?”
As they make their way back to the castle the boy is more at ease. They continue their banter, Sabel even making a few cracks about his animal of choice. Surprisingly, it didn’t bother Agian one bit. He enters the Astronomy tower, not sure what to expect.
She had to make cracks about the ferret bit! Draco had been turned into a ferret once, and become ‘the amazing bouncing ferret’! And as a wolf, when she was in that form… She kind of wanted to eat ferrets. And other small animals… And deer… And she wasn’t going to go into all the things she had, or had wanted to eat in her were wolf form. She hadn’t been one long, but her appetite… Oh it was appalling sometimes.
It was the first time in awhile she’d really smiled for real. As they went up to the astronomy tower, she reached into her bag, pulling out… Paper tubes. Brilliantly colored paper tubes. She offered one to him before tearing off the top of one and dumping the contents in her mouth.
“Luna got me hooked on these. Muggles have some amazing sweets.” Said with a giggle, as she looked about for the teacher. She was still kinda wary about that guy… He’d kinda looked at her like everyone else had… So her shoulders had slumped ever so slightly as they reached the tower. She stayed by Agian’s side, not realizing she was doing so.
